University Information

University is situated in the city of Portsmouth, having a history from 1908. The university got its university status in 1992 through the Further and Higher Education Act. Before that, it was called the Portsmouth Polytechnic, now, the university is counted amongst the leading 100 institutions of higher education across the globe. The university offers a wide range of educational programs including Pharmacy, Mechanical Engineering, International relations and politics, Palaeontology, Criminal Justice, Criminology, and many more for which the university research work got listed in excellent category in Research Excellence Framework in the year 2014. Apart from these the university offers 150 postgraduate degrees with over 200 undergraduate degrees, along with 65 research degree programs.
