Dalhousie University is proudly located in Halifax, Nova Scotia which is ranked one of the friendliest cities in the world. Founded in 1818, it is one of Canada’s oldest universities, attracting more than 19,000 students including 22% international students from around the world with a home of 13 faculties with 200+ degree programs where 90% students take a part in work integrated learning which gives the students an opportunity to discover new concepts. A famous American philanthropist and publisher, George Munro donated money to the university all his life and in honour of George Munro, the university celebrates 'George Munro Day' on February 1.
